Character Day at School: October 31st.
No masks of any kind
No pretend weapons
No inflatable costumes
Students must keep their face visible at all times. No masks, hoods, full-face makeup or excessive makeup/gore
No pretend blood
Skirts must be appropriate length (no higher than fingertips when student's hands are at their sides)
Appropriate footwear must be worn at all times. No high heels or open toed shoes
No costumes that depict gangs or any type of drug reference
IMPORTANT: These examples are provided as general guidelines. School Staff will make the final decision on costume appropriateness. If a costume is deemed unsuitable, students may be asked to change, and families will be contacted as needed

We are scheduled to have our Scholastic Book Fair the week of October 6th to the 10th. Your child will visit the book fair during their library time, and it will also be open 30 minutes after school from October 6th to 8th. The book fair will also be open during Parent Teacher Conferences on October 9th from 8 am to 3 pm and on October 10th from 8 am to 12 pm. If your child wishes to attend the book fair, they must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

District-wide Poster Contest 2025
EUSD is calling on all students to enter our 2nd Annual Attendance Awareness Poster Contest.
Students are invited to submit a poster that highlights why “EVERY DAY COUNTS”. This is an opportunity for students to share their views on why they feel attendance is important.
*The top three posters submitted to student’s school will receive a certificate to Panda Express or In-N-Out
*The top poster from each school will be made into a life size poster with the artists name
*Individualized stickers of the top poster design from each school will be created.
*The top poster submitted from each school site will be entered in a district-wide contest.
The top poster from all sites will be posted on the district attendance webpage.
Poster Theme:
“EVERY DAY COUNTS”
Eligibility & Criteria
All students in EUSD are eligible to participate. Posters will be judged on how well they address the theme, the quality of the design and student creativity. The design must an original student drawing.
To enter the contest follow the steps below.
1. Overall message that communicates the importance of school attendance
2. Poster size must be 8.5” x 11” or 11” x 17”.
3. Must include the attendance theme “EVERY DAY COUNTS”.
4. All artwork must be the students own work.
5. Students full name, grade & school must be written on the back of the poster.
6. Each school site selects one poster to submit to the district office.
7. Submissions must be received at the Glen View Elementary office no later than 10/1/2025.
8. Top poster winner district-wide will be announced October 14. 2025
